Hi everyone, i just finished Aaron´s book at work and i can´t wait to scan it at home and upload it. Maybe i´m a little guilty for keeping it so much time, but here is it finally.

Aaron can you send me your address please, The moly has one but i don´t understand it well. Thank you.

By the way i ´ve made some doodles between Kari and Claire´s additions just to make the book float smootly, hope you like it!

Hi Everyone,

I've finished Gabi's Moly and have sent it on to Benjamin. I chose to do the crystal Palace, deep in the sea. Wanted to keep it really monochromatic, but I just kept adding color and then added some little shiny jewels. I think it turned out kind of fun.

Now I just need to finish Bejamin's moly and send it back to him, finally full circle.

I have finally finished Aaron's book. I apologize for taking so long. I had a hard time thinking of an idea, I was afraid that I was not understanding the song. So I stuck with "she looks good in her underwear". Thank goodness for Victoria's secret! Hope you like it Aaron. My boyfriend assured me that you wouldn't mind my lack of creativity.

It's on it's way to you Ben and I'll get the next one done this weekend. Happy Holidays everyone.

Hi everyone i just finished my entry in Claire's book of Nautical Lore and Legend, my entry i sbased on the aztec mythology about the gods of Water and their beautiful paradise call "Tlalocan" They are "Tlaloc" (licquor that nourishes teh earth, or he who causes growth), and she "Chalchihuitlicue"(Lady with the precious green skirt) I really have fun doing it, I hope ypu like it Claire, so far this is how your moly looks :D

Well I've finished my portrait of young Pere, Ocean Goddess. Really a fun project. It wasn't until I was finished coloring and opened the moly that I realized how closely my color scheme coordinated with Claire's. A happy accident, I think it looks cool. Anyway I hope you like it. Hey, So here is my newest drawing for phase 2 of our group. I read Gabi's poem and chose to draw for the lines:

A large gold fish,
at five o'clock,
comes to see me off.

Brings
a red line
of coral flowers.

Considering the poem was one character I chose to basically draw another panel in the story using the (similar) character to what Gabi drew. Got some touch ups and to add colour but I was happy with what I came up with during a car ride today.

Hi Everyone,

I've settled on an ocean myth and have started to sketch in Claire's Moly. I chose the Polynesian Ocean Goddess Pere who loved to travel. Her mother gave her a jar that held the ocean and a magical golden yacht. Whenever she wanted to go somewhere she would pour out the ocean and travel on her amazing yacht. That is how the Polynesian islands were formed.

Seriously, does it get any better than that? I think Pere had the coolest mom ever and a great life! hehe I thought it fit the theme and also suits what I know about Claire. Hope you like it. I'm having fun on this one.

Hey Claire,

I finally made in to the mailbox and your moly is here. It is really beautiful. I especially love the sign in page, incredible. My kids are searching their books for all of the ocean myths they can find, my 11 year old is really into greek mythology, so she thinks this book is pretty cool. I'm pretty sure I'll end up drawing what I want to and not what they want me to.

Have any of you heard of a sketchbook exchange for kids?

Hi,

I am finally finished with "Black Horse and a Cherry Tree". My tree ended up looking like a mistletoe tree, hehe. I'll just say I was using creative license. I'll include a few of the lyrics for those of you who don't know it. As for my moly if you want to stick with this song I'm fine with that, it's not really that long. But I think it would be awesome if you illustrated one of your favorite songs. Whatever works for you.

Breaking the Ice, first steps to my first moly

Hey Everyone... just checking in to see how everyone is doing! My Japanese Moleskine came in the mail (had to order one since I can't get them here on this little island), I have got my theme figured out and I am working on my entry page and first few pages... should be done (or at least have more to show) in a few days, then I can post a progress report and sneak peek! We are smack in the middle of moving so I am living in a state of chaos at the moment! How is everyone else's coming along? Does anyone have any photos yet? A couple of questions as I am fairly new to this exchange gig... Are you going to send us all the address of who we send them to? Was there a theme decided on... or is all this stuff to be worked out once all the members in the group are confirmed?

You should contact the person you will be sending your book to, Son Do Minh, and ask for his address. Really no need for everyone to have all of the addresses. We try to protect privacy where possible. You will send your address to Benjamin Barrios González. That's if you all keep the order as it is on the blog. You all can discus that on the blog. There is no theme so far. You can ask that question to the group on the blog, as well. Most groups do not have themes, yet most individuals have themes for their books. My mind has changed on the subject of themes. I now think they help the other artists focus and do a better job on their entries.

Feel free to write with questions anytime. I think it's better to post questions on the blog, where everyone can discus and learn.
